Design inspiration

The spectacular Southern Alps, carved out with glacial valleys and lakes. Aoraki, Mt Cook magestically commands the southern skys at 3754 metres - the highest point in New Zealand. The spine of the South Island spanning 450 kilometres north to south.  Depicted are the white capped mountain peaks marked with silvery tips to represent the rugged mountains that rise over the sundrenched plains of the South Island.
